Even Harvard scholars must submit to the law
The nation’s most pre-eminent Black scholar, Henry Louis Gates Jr., was arrested the other night when he was reportedly breaking into a home in Cambridge, Mass. The Harvard professor claimed that the home was his own, flashed his Harvard faculty ID card, and accused police officers arrested him because he was a “black man in America.” They arrested him anyway.
I guess even Harvard can’t protect you from paying the price of being Black.
